- Parkisonism:
- Initially: 1mg daily increased every 3-5 days by 2mg to 6mg to 10mg according to patient response.
- Drug-induced extrapyramidal effects:
- 5-15mg daily
Tablet:
- 5mg
Taken with meals and at bedtime.
Tertiary amine antimuscarinic.
It has a direct antispasmodic action on smooth muscle. May act by partially blocking central cholinergic receptors.
