• Used for seasonal/perennial allergic rhinitis and (idiopathic) chronic urticaria:
    • Adults & children above 12 years: 10-20mg OD.
      • NOT to exceed 10mg in hepatic failure
    • Children 6-12 years: 5ml OD

Suspension:

  • 5mg/5mL
  • NOT used for children below 6 years.

Highly selective H1-receptor antagonist with poor blood brain barrier penetration therefore devoid of CNS and cholinergic effects.
