• Myasthenia gravis:
    • Adults & >12 years: PO 60mg120mg every 3-8 hours
  • Paralytic ileus:
    • PO 60-240mg daily
  • Post-operative urinary retention:
    • PO 60-240mg daily

Tablet: 60mg

  • Can be taken with food or milk to avoid upset stomach

Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor

It reversibly binds to and inactivates acetylcholinesterase thereby increasing the bioavailability of ACh and enhancing the transmission of nerve impulses at neuromuscular junctions.
