Dosage:

  • Infants: Commonly 5–10 drops, 3–4 times daily, or as directed by a physician
  • Adults: 5–10 mL oral liquid after meals, if applicable (rare)
  • Varies by brand and formulation; commonly available as oral drops or syrup, containing:
    • Sodium bicarbonate: ~50 mg/mL
    • Dill oil (Anethum graveolens): ~0.005–0.01 mL/mL
  • Shake well before use (if suspension)
  • Administer using a calibrated dropper
  • Preferably given after feeding in infants to relieve colic
  • Sodium Bicarbonate: Neutralizes gastric acid, providing antacid effect
